Bowyer signing confirmed

Bowyer has now signed a contract with the Hammers after agreeing personal terms and successfully completing a medical.

The signing of the England international comes on the same day as he was given a six-match European ban after Uefa found him guilty of "an act of serious assault" during Leeds' Uefa Cup defeat against Malaga last month.

Uefa said the ban would "take effect immediately", but Bowyer will not actually serve the suspension until his club plays again in European club competition and has a shelf-life of six years.
