West Ham stalwart Winston Reid has emerged as a target for Major League Soccer clubs Sporting Kansas City and Nashville SC.
The New Zealand international has been at the club for ten years and has a contract until 2023 but has consistently struggled with injury issues.
While he recently battled back to full fitness, West Ham
Reid was named on the substitutes bench against Leicester on Wednesday but hasn't played a single minute for West Ham this term, with his last appearance for the Hammers coming two seasons ago.
Manager David Moyes wants to add fresh legs to his squad and is looking to bring in three signings in the January transfer window, with Nottingham Forest defender Matty Cash a potential target.
The 22-year-old is a versatile player who used to feature in midfield but can now also play as a right back.
If West Ham are unable to sign Cash or their other targets then there is a chance Reid may remain at the club. The MLS window opens on February 12 and closes on May 5 so if reinforcements are brought in Reid would be likely to leave then.
Nevertheless, Reid will hold a special place in West Ham's history as he scored the last ever competitive goal at Upton Park in a 3-2 win over Manchester United in May 2016.
