A Question Well Answered

Although the Hammers fans may not be 100% certain about the appointment David Connolly had his own views on the situation. “I spoke to him in the summer and he was very impressive and forward thinking” he said, “You can see that by the results and the way his team play”.

Connolly, who nearly chose Reading over West Ham in the summer, went on to say. “He obviously knows what he is doing and I hope we can continue the way we are going at the moment”.

Ex-West Ham player Tony Gale added, “I would say he is firm but fair and the players I have spoken to seem to have a lot of respect for him; I don't think he is a ranter and raver, he is quite calm about it and a very enthusiastic young manager as you have to be these days.”

Alan Pardew had been the subject of a lot of controversy in recent weeks but seems very delighted to have all this weight of his shoulders and said: "Obviously the outcome is not the route we wanted to go but unfortunately that is how it happened - but from my side the good news is that I will be manager of West Ham”

He added his intentions as club manager too by saying: "For me it is a great honour and I am very much aware of the history and the traditions of this club and it is important that we bounce back into the Premiership; that is what I have been brought in to do and that will be my main focus.”

Alan Pardew has built up a strong reputation whilst being at Reading and hopefully will carry on in the same manager as Brooking.

Good luck Alan we hope it goes well for you.
