Arsenal’s young-star Henri Lansbury has joined the club on loan for the season.
The England U-21 international is highly rated at the Gunners but with them signing Yossi Benayoun and Mikel Arteta, Lansbury was unlikely to see much first team action this season.
Lansbury spent last season on loan with Norwich, helping them to win promotion to the Premier League and he will be hoping to do the same with the Hammers this season.
Tall, energetic and experienced, Lansbury will add another dimension to West Ham’s midfielder. A selection headache will loom for Sam Allardyce as the Hammers now have significant numbers in the centre of the park.
