Anton Injury boost

The news will come as a real boost to Pardew and his men after the young central defender limped out of the 2-1 defeat to IFK Gothenburg after 25 minutes of Saturday.


Anton flew back to England on Sunday and underwent a scan which revealed only grade one strain.


Head Physiotherapist Steve Allen told the official site, “The injury is not as bad as we initially thought. Anton is now back at Chadwell Heath undergoing intensive physiotherapy, and we are looking forward to seeing him resume full training soon.”
