The former Chelsea manager heads the list of managers that David Gold and David Sullivan would like to appoint and previously the main sticking point for a deal would have been the amount of compensation Portsmouth would claim.
Speaking earlier in the week Andronikou said, “We will not stand in Avram's way.
"There is a contract in place, but I have said we are not going to ask for compensation.
"We at least owe him that after the tremendous job he has done for this football club."
