Bellamy back for Wales

Bellamy has so far made only three substitute appearances for the Hammers this season after recovering from a hamstring injury and Collins has not played for the first team since last December because of a career-threatening knee injury sustained in January whilst playing for the reserves.

Bellamy started the game well, looking lively going forward and could have scored on a number of occasions. The fire-brand then had a penalty saved just before half-time and was replaced by his team-mate for the final ten minutes of the game.

Speaking after the game he said, "It could have been more convincing, I missed the penalty, but at the end of the day it's a win.

"I needed my 80 minutes, it felt like my first start for nearly a year, I hope to get a good run in now.

"If I hadn't got that under my belt it would have been difficult for me to start against Germany on Wednesday."
