Brooking wants to go out on a high

Brooking hands over the managers job to Alan Pardew after the game with Burnley on Saturday and he as emphasised the need for the Hammers to improve on their home form if they are to gain one of the two automatic promotion places.

"I want to finish on a good note on Saturday because we've got to make the most of our home games. If we want to bounce straight back we will have to be better," Brooking said after the 1-1 draw with The Canaries.

"It's three wins and three draws at home and I don't believe we've played consistently well in any of them. It's frustrating because our fans deserve to see a ninety minute performance and they haven't yet.

"I'm sure Alan will bring in two or three players but the fact is November and December will be two big months because we play West Brom, Sunderland, Ipswich and Wigan at home."
