Carroll bid accepted

The offer is believed to be £2 million up-front for a season long loan with a fixed price of £17 million to be paid at the end of the season to complete the transfer permanently.  This also depends on the Hammers avoiding relegation.

The BBC also report that Carroll is reluctant to leave Liverpool on a permanent basis and it also seems likely that news of an accepted offer will provoke other clubs, including Newcastle, to make an improved bid.
