The striker returned to full training this week as he looked to make his first appearance for the team since his record breaking permanent move to East London. In what looks set to be a big blow to Sam Allardyce’s plans for the near future, Carroll has suffered another injury in the same part of his foot as his previous problem.
Carroll will be sent to see a specialist for scans and assessment before any course of action is determined. Initial estimates are that he is unlikely to play for the Hammers until December at the earliest.
