“It’s a great feeling to be back on the score-sheet,” the big man told West Ham TV.

“Getting as many games as I have in the last couple of weeks has been great for my fitness.  I’m feeling as fit as ever and it’s shown in the two goals today.

“It was a great cross in from Jenks for the first and that’s what he’s there for.  It was an absolutely fantastic cross right where I wanted it and I lost my man to get on the end of it.

“For the second one I gave a little bit of movement off the corner, it’s gone in the space where I wanted and the movement let me get on the end of it.

“It was nearly cleared off the line, but there was too much power on it!”

“I ran over to celebrate with the bench because the staff had been behind me all the way.  It’s been a long injury and it has been tough.

“They’ve pushed me as hard as they could to get me back fit.  They’ve done everything right and everything that needed to be done - especially when I didn’t feel like doing it when it’s been sore and painful and I’ve been down.

“They pushed me through and helped me through it, so it was just to say thank you to them.  When you’ve got people like that looking after you it’s a great feeling.”
