Collison boost

The young Welsh midfielder had to leave the pitch on a stretcher after catching his foot in the turf and twisting his knee unnaturally in very similar fashion to that of Valon Behrami last week.

Unlike Behrami, Collision was able to leave the ground on foot allaying the worst fears that any dislocation had occurred.

Collison went for an MRI scan yesterday to determine the severity of the injury and initial assessments are reporting that he has suffered only a minor strain of the knee ligaments and may only need a months rest.
