The energetic midfielder played the opening 45 minutes of the West Ham Development squad’s 3-1 defeat to Norwich City in the Barclays U21 Premier League.
Collison looked lively throughout and was at the heart of most of the Hammers’ best moves. The Welsh international almost marked his return with a goal but was unable to get his header on target.
Collision’s return will come as a welcome boost for the Hammers’ depleted midfield following the losses of Yossi Benayoun, Momo Diame and Rocardo Vaz Te.
