Sunday tabloids are set to reveal details of the possible takeover so TC spoke to Sky Sports to confirm his plans.

He said “Basically, I can't say I'm happy having to sit here and chat with you.

“Certain sections of the media have got hold of the story that is about to break.

“Basically, I've spoken to some potential investors in West Ham United Football Club, all of which are West Ham fans and have obviously done well in their respective businesses, and there is the potential of building a consortium with a view to possibly buying West Ham.

“It's something that may or may not happen.

“I love the club. I love West Ham Football Club but I want to make it clear the timing is not good on this coming out. The last thing I want to do is upset what everyone at West Ham is trying to do - get promotion via the play-offs.

“I can promise the supporters and the club that. I'm just having to deal wih the story because certain aspects of the media have got it and it will come out.

“The club are aware. I spoke to one of the representatives last night before the
Leicester game. I'm sure we will have a discussion in the week to see where we go, if anywhere, but nothing will happen while West Ham are still involved with a chance of getting in the play-offs.”

News of this possible takeover will come as a huge relief to the ever growing number of Hammers fans desperate to see the back of the clubs current chairman Terence Brown, who has overseen the fall and demise of our once great club.
