“Manchester City have spent over £300m in the last few seasons so to beat them was a massive result for us.
“We were talking before the game about the fact they are always on the move, their two centre forwards, two wide players and two centre midfielders are always moving around, so it was a tough test for us.
“We came out of the blocks straight away in both halves and obviously got the two goals.
“You cannot just stand off players of that quality because, if you do, you are going to get picked off. They will always get a few chances, but the Gaffer’s tactics were spot-on, we pressed them from the off and it worked for us.”
