"There's no chance of me going for the West Ham job," said Curbishley.
"I'm happy at Charlton and going to West Ham is just not feasible because of the compensation that would have to be paid.
"I've got my mind firmly set on establishing this club this year, so West Ham will have to go along a different route.
"It's about timing. A couple of years ago there was talk about me taking over at Upton Park, but nothing ever materialised."
