Bellamy returned to action this weekend netting in the 4-1 victory over Blackburn despite only being on the pitch for 20 minutes. This did not stop Wales manager John Toshack naming the 29-year-old in his squad despite Curbs' protestations that he wasn't ready.

A statement from the Welsh FA reads, "After discussions between the managers, John Toshack and Alan Curbishley, of West Ham, and the player Craig Bellamy, it has been mutually agreed that in the interests of all parties, the player will continue his rehabilitation plan at his club."
