West Ham defender Calum Davenport is being paid £250,000 to end his torrid three-year stay at the Boleyn Ground, according to the Sun.

The unlucky defender has only made 13 appearances for the Hammers since his £3 million move from London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in 2007 and has not played a game since Boxing Day 2008.

Davenport suffered a number of different injuries during his time with the club including a broken neck whilst out on loan and more lately, serious leg wounds after being stabbed numerous times in an incident involving his sister and her boyfriend.
