The Hammers' top scorer this season won the vote ahead of Goalkeeper Rob Green following his displays against Portsmouth, Bolton and Newcastle.
Speaking to the official site he said, "Obviously it's great that the fans think I deserve to win it again and to get it two months on the trot hopefully means people think I am on a good run of form and not being affected by my injury any more."
Ashton's superb overhead-kick against Man Utd last week may well be enough to make it three months in a row and his performances will also not have gone unnoticed by England boss Fabio Capello.
