Defoe going nowhere

The England under 21 international scored the only goal of the game against Bradford on Tuesday night and Brooking has revealed he will not be allowed to leave Upton Park.

"Jermain scored a goal no other player, first division or Premiership, would have scored," said Brooking.

"He has every right to be frustrated after seeing his mates sold in the summer, but his attitude has been excellent.

"He's not going anywhere."
