Di Canio Bid Rejected

di Canio - Roeder rejected bid
Glenn Roeder has admitted that he has rejected a bid from the reigning Champions for Paolo di Canio.

It is at present unclear how much the figure is, although it would probably have been somewhere between £2m and £3m. Glenn refused to comment on the amount offered, though.

Glenn said in the post-match interviews: "We turned down a bid late on Friday night."

"Paolo wasn't with us today because he has flu but, as far as I am concerned, he will be back in training this week and will be available for Saturday," he continued.

So maybe Paolo isn't going anywhere? The only thing we have heard from the man himself are old quotes about the fact that Manchester United are a good club, and that it would make him feel honoured to be approached by them. However, they are old quotes.

He is apparently going to be saying something soon, and rest assured we will report here as soon as we can. In the mean time, let's enjoy our victory, and look forward to Paolo playing for West Ham against Leicester next week.
