The Senegal international has only been with the squad for two weeks but he is already looking forward to the start of the new Premier League season.
Diame is currently preparing to play for his country at the 2012 London Olympics but before leaving he spoke to whufc.com.
“It was great to meet up with the rest of the team and to start pre-season training. Everybody has been very welcoming to me, the other players and all the staff. It made me feel good and it was nice to start getting settled”
“The week we had in Austria was very good - it was very hot and we worked hard - it was nice to get started.
“I think everyone was happy with the work we did and there is also a great spirit in the team, as I said, it made feel very welcome.”
