Ward has only made one appearance for the Hammers this term and has also spent the beginning of the season on loan at Peterborough United.
Elliot spoke to the official club website and said, “I've come here as I want the chance to play first team football.
“I'm here for a month, and hopefully I can do as much as I can to help us climb the league in that time.
“I've been waiting for a move so that I can get the experience I need and when I got the call from Ian Atkins I jumped at the chance to come to Rovers, as I've heard a lot about him and I know this is a good club.”
