Four game ban for Pearce

The Hammers defender lodged an appeal against the red-card he recieved during the game at the Reebok and the FA's disciplinary committee, after viewing video evidence of the incident, upheld the referees decision.

Pearce therefore misses the Hammers last home game of the season against Chelsea this weekend and also the final game of the campaign at Birmingham City on 11th May.

The four match ban will be carried over into next season meaning Pearce will miss West Hams first two games of the new season too.
