This seasons award for Hammer of the Year has been won by Robert Green. He recieved over 50% of all the votes cast and was presented the award before the game against Aston Villa. Runner up was George McCartney and Matty Upson came third.

It is a well deserved award following some outstanding performances throughout the season, including four penalty saves. He was overjoyed at winning and was full of praise for both supporters and the club.

James Tomkins has capped of a wonderful season by winning Young Hammer of the Year. He has performed fantastically in the reserves all season and has recently been rewarded with a number of first team appearances.

Finally the award for most improved player has gone to Jack Collison, again he has been outstanding in the reserves, and did well on his brief first team outings.

With Players like Tomkins and Collison coming through, the future is indeed very Claret and Blue!
