This time it wasn’t Kevin Davies on the score sheet as on-loan Daniel Sturridge showed why he is rated so highly by Chelsea. Sturridge scored the opener after only 15 minutes before Chung-yong Lee added a headed second before the break.
Sturridge added a third on 51 minutes and there was simply no way back for the Hammers as they showed little improvement.
