Keane looked impressive, linking up well with Freddie Piquionne on a number of occasions.  His debut goal came after 37 minutes volleying home after a Victor Obinna shot was saved twice by Blackpool goalkeeper Richard Kingson.

Keane’s goal put the Hammers 0-2 up after Obinna continued his fine scoring record with a near post strike after 24 minutes.

Blackpool captain Charlie Adam equalised for the Tangerines just before half-time but Victor Obinna’s long range effort re-took the initiative for the Hammers at the break.

The second half remained goalless and the Hammers held on for a valuable three points.
