It was first announced that the club were in ‘exploratory talks' in early September but since then there have been no more statements and no formal bid has been lodged.
There has also been much tabloid speculation that Joorabchian has not been able find enough investors to raise the sufficient funds needed for the £80 million takeover to happen.
The board are expected to make a decision to press ahead with the takeover but they will make demands to Joorabchian that he proves he has sufficient financial backing in the immediate future.
