The striker, who signed for Spurs for £11million from Dynamo Kiev in June 2000 but was loaned out to Fenerbahce 18 months ago, has begun training with the West Ham squad.

"Yesterday (Monday), he had a training session with the team (West Ham)," Rebrov's agent told Sky Sports News.

"It was an interesting invitation, so Sergei decided to go look around and see the club and maybe we'll talk to them later this week.

"He would be excited to play again with Teddy (Sheringham), if possible.

"He actually arrived back from Fenerbahce to Tottenham, where he is contracted next season. But as I understand from management, they are ready to let him find another club, so he is looking around.

"His priority is to stay in The Premiership if possible, but, definitely, he would like to stay in the UK."
