The Hammers have requested that the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) suspend the player registration for Diamanti with Brescia with immediate effect.

Diamanti joined the Hammers on a five-year deal back in August 2009 for around £6 million and despite being a favourite with the fans his performances on the pitch with more miss than hit.  He scored 8 goals for the Hammers (5 from the penalty spot) before leaving for Brescia in a £1.8 million deal.
