“I think we could have filled the stadium ourselves with the amount of ticket requests! All the fans got here early as did I and Wembley Way was a sea of Claret and Blue,” said Brooking.
“With the Bubbles floating around and the flags waving, West Ham have created a fantastic atmosphere here.”
Brooking believes the club with have a fight on their hands to stay in the Premier League next season.
“Financially it will be a big boost and the next challenge will be staying up there. West Ham deserve to be in the Premier League they are a huge club with fantastic worldwide support.”
