Big Sam’s men went behind after 33 minutes when Victor Moses converted from a Bojan effort.  They fell further behind only 10 minutes into the second half when Walters found the head of Diouf.

Staring down the barrel, the Hammers finally started to find another gear.  Stewart Downing and Alex Song were proving a constant menace to the home side throughout.

On the hour, Downing broke down the right and provided a terrific cross for Enner Valencia to nod past Begovic with a diving header.  This stirred the Hammers into playing some attractive football for the first time of the afternoon.  On 77 minutes Valencia turned provider for Downing to smash home the deserved equaliser from 15 yards.

Despite pressing hard in the final 15 minutes the Hammers were unable to find a winner but they will head back to London happy after securing another valuable point.
