In sparkling form this pre-season, Craig Bellamy had been hoping to form an exciting partnership with Dean Ashton - Now he looks set for another spell on the sidelines.
West Ham are currently playing a pre-season friendly against Ipswich Town, the score 2-2 at half-time, with Bellamy scoring "a fantastic chipped effort from 20 yards".
Moments later however, another update on the official site reads, "Bellamy has been taken off. He had waved to the bench to be replaced after chasing a ball forward. "
According to witnesses at the game it may be a hamstring injury. If this is confirmed Bellamy looks certain to miss West Ham's season opener against Wigan in a fortnight.
