Hammers Snap Up Defensive Duo

Thirty-two year old centre-back Mackay has joined from the Canaries on a permanent deal for a £300,000 fee whilst 34-year-old left back Powell has moved to Upton Park on an initial one month loan deal.

Both players are expected to go straight into Hammers boss Alan Pardews squad for this weekends game with Sheffield United.
