Hammers to make a Gud bid?

The former Chelsea forward moved to Barcelona for £8 million two years ago but has failed to cement a regular place in the starting line-up with competition from the likes of Thierry Henry & Ronaldinho.

It is known that Alan Curbishley tried to tempt Gudjohnsen to Upton Park last season however the striker turned down a move in order to fight for his first team place.


Eidur's father and agent Arnor Gudjohnsen told BBC Sport "One Premier League club has shown a lot of interest in Eidur,"


"He would certainly be interested in a move back to England, but he is not going to rush into making a decision.


"Eidur and his family are settled in Barcelona and he has two years left on his contract, but his chances were limited last season."
