Zavon Hines has had a fine month, making a number of influential appearances for the Hammers and breaking into England’s U-21 squad.
Speaking after receiving the award, the small forward, who has been compared to former Hammers Jermain Defoe, said, “It’s good to know that I’m doing something right and the fans like it.”
“I’ve just got to keep my feet on the ground and carry on with what I’m doing.
“I said that at the start of the season I just want to do my best and try to get in the first team as quick as possible and by God’s grace I have. I haven’t surprised myself. I always thought that if I get the chance I will take it and that’s what I’ve done.”
