The 33-year-old former Scotland international has not featured much for the Hammers this season and Hutchinson has been told by Alan Pardew that he does not feature in his long term plans.
Hutchinson looks set to play in the Carling Cup on Wednesday night against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as Alan Pardew intends to use some of his fringe players. The loan deal to Leeds should be confirmed following this.
Hutchinson who is out of contract at the end of the season, last week turned down the chance to join Nottingham Forest on loan.
