The incident was missed by the referee but the FA have reviewed video evidence of the tussle and handed the immediate suspension to the German defender.

An FA statement reads:

Verdict reached on Stoke City defender.

At a Regulatory Commission hearing today, Stoke City defender Robert Huth was given a three match suspension to be served with immediate effect.

Huth admitted a charge of violent conduct relating to an incident involving West Ham defender Matthew Upson during the Premier League match on Saturday  17th October.
