The two week international break has meant that some of the injured players may well be back for the Hammers' next game against Middlesbrough at home on Saturday 15th September.

Scott Parker is in the final week of recovery from a medial ligament strain and should be in contention to make his West Ham league debut at Upton Park.  Freddie Ljungberg is another looking to make his debut and he too should return to training next week following a thigh injury.

Nigel Quashie and Bobby Zamora should also be fit for the 'Boro game and defender Calum Davenport is two-weeks away from returning after a hernia operation.

Long-term absentees Kieron Dyer and Julien  Faubert are still recovering after operations.
