After finalizing contractual details last week the Italian joined up with the Hammers squad for his first training session yesterday.
Speaking about his decision to join the Hammers Zola said, "It is a great club and I couldn't have said no. I'm very pleased to have accepted it. It's a great opportunity and I'm sure I can do a good job.
"It's my philosophy is to play offensive football if I can as I have always done that so we will try to play this style of football. What we do here is to make it enjoyable for the players and for the club."
