However, Kanoute, who has had an injury plagued seaSon in which he has only scored three goals, has admitted to wanting to play for a club in European competition.
"I haven't said I want to leave or spoken to anyone about leaving so you can tell people it's not true," Kanoute told the club's official website.
"I'm just coming back from injury. I just want to play and we'll see what happens in the summer."
