Brooking received his knighthood from Prince Charles for his services for sport.
At 55, Trevor has been a lifelong Hammer making over 600 appearances, and winning the FA Cup twice in 1975 and 1980 when scored the winning goal against Arsenal.
He was also capped 57 times for
Trevor took charge of the manager’s role at Upton Park following Glenn Roeder’s illness in April 2003 in which West Ham took 7 of 9 points but was still not enough to save us from relegation. He also took temporary charge following Roeder’s dismissal in August until Alan Pardew’s appointment in October.
He is now employed by the FA as their Director of Football Development.
