Noble for England?

Noble has been an ever-present under Stuart Pearce but along with the likes of Tom Huddlestone and Theo Walcott his name was among those not on the list for the U21's game.

Stuart Pearce said of his squad, "It's a great opportunity for us in this friendly to have a look at some other players. I could easily put out a side that I wouldn't learn a great deal about, but I have a chance to use some new players and players who have been in the squad but have yet to have a great deal of pitch time."

These comments may go some way to explaining Noble's omission however a number of media sources today are speculating that the young Hammer may well have done enough to impress new boss Fabio Capello sufficiently to earn a place in the squad announced tomorrow afternoon for the forthcoming friendly against France.
