Nolan secures point for Hammers

The Hammers skipper turned on the ball and smashed it home following a hopeful Mark Noble ball forward that was beautifully controlled by Matt Jarvis and nodded on from Modibo Maiga.

The goal and the point was fully deserved as the Hammers dominated Martin O’Neil’s Sunderland side through the game.

The Hammers suffered the worst possible start when they conceded after only 9 minutes.  Steven Fletcher scored for the visitors after a defensive mistake from James Collins.

The Hammers then dominated the game and were unlucky not to convert a hatful of chances.  I was left to Kevin Nolan to rescue a point with is sixth career goal against the Black Cats.
