Baros, Euro 2004’s golden boot winner, has seen himself drop out of Rafa Benitez’s plans with the arrival of another of Pard’s previous targets Peter Crouch.
Pardew told Sky Sports News, “I'm not going to talk directly about Milan because he's still under contract.
“But we are after a striker and if someone of his quality is available I am going to go for him.”
Benitez also confirmed Liverpool would be willing to listen to offers, “Yes, it is a possibility.
“He is a player that is important for us - but we know the market sometimes changes.
“We have more options now in attack and it depends on the number of teams we would play.”
