Roars of “There's only one Alan Pardew” could be heard all across the Boleyn Ground yesterday as West Ham's players finally took the bulls by the horns and put in a performance of true grit and determination to beat Blackburn and break their 8 game losing streak.
“It was a fantastic day for West Ham United.” Said Pardew,
”Before the game I had messages of support from fans and I was hoping, only hoping, that it would be like that here at the stadium today. Most managers are hardened individuals but I was moved when the crowd chanted my name at the start of the game. It was nice moment and a great fillip for both the team and myself.”
