The Hammers moved into sixth place in the table as goals from Bobby Zamora and David Connolly helped them to their first win in three games.

"It was a big game for us," Pardew said after the 2-0 win at Upton Park.

"There is immense pressure on us but we've dealt with that today. The fans are desperate for us to win and hopefully we can live up to their expectations.

"I know this league well and it can change quickly from weekend to weekend so we won't get carried away.

We haven't given up hope of making the play-offs and we can go into the next game with confidence."
