Pards and Whinger Charge by FA

Both Pardew and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger became embroiled in a shoving match after the whinging Frenchman took offence to Pard's celebrating Harewood's winner.


Pardew has since publicly apologised to the Arsenal boss however Wenger has kept silent.

“West Ham United manager Alan Pardew and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger have both been charged with improper conduct.


“The charges relate to their alleged aggressive and confrontational behaviour towards the end of the match at Upton Park on Sunday 5 November.


“They have until 23 November to respond.”

West Ham's director Paul Aldridge has since issued a statement giving Pardew the clubs full backing.

 

“West Ham United are astonished by this charge, we believe Alan Pardew did no more than celebrate in a passionate manner following a crucial goal in a London derby.  Alan Pardew has the full backing of the board with regards to this charge which will be defended vigorously.”
