There had been a call out yesterday for supporters to help clear the snow and ice from the covers on the pitch and despite the best efforts of fans and officials from both clubs the game has fallen victim to the severe cold spell that has engulfed much of the country.
Temperatures overnight reached as low as -13c and a pitch inspection was completed at 8am this morning where the decision was taken to postpone the game.
A new date for the fixture will be announced as soon as possible.
