Quashie Gone

Quashie has not played for West Ham for 18 months after suffering a number of foot injuries.  He has spent the last few weeks on trial with the Midlands side appearing in a number of reserve matches.

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish told their official site, "Quashie has looked good and he's definitely a player who will enhance our squad.  He's got a good attitude, and a winning attitude.  You can flippantly throw that term around, but I think he's got that type of steel we require for the ambitions that we have.

"He was out for so long that we just needed to determine whether he can get through games week in and week out without picking up niggly little injuries.  It's not easy to establish that before you sign somebody."
